No I haven't. I figure going to the dealer it would be a ridiculous price. I can be patient and keep looking for one either used or blemished. The one I have works fine it just looks out of place to me now. When I get the wrap done he is going to do something with the console to match the wrap. Maybe then I wont feel the same about it.

I know this is far from where you live, but he may ship these. This guy always has consoles. I think they are blemished. He also sells used and blemished pontoons. He is in central MO.

I know Premier Pontoons sells a lot of their things online, they can be pretty salty, but aside from knowing someone on the inside of one of the builders, it might be your best shot at a "newer oem" looking console. https://shop.pontoons.com/store/results ... ory_id=215

Thanks for the links guys. I have been keeping an eye on the Premier site for quite some time. They have parts often but I haven't seen any complete consoles yet. Bill the pontoon tube guy I knew about for pontoons but I didn't know he sold consoles from time to time also. I will have to give him a call.

I was looking for a newer bar to put on the boat I am rebuilding and stumbled on that Premier site, looks awesome until you see the $7,000 price tag! I think my heart skipped a beat.

Back at the resto. I upgraded the engine to an 80 Hp Yami. Still wanting a 150 but its much much better than the 50hp was. Also got the underskinning finished up last week. Big Big difference in the ride when the lake is rough and I picked up 3 mph. With the 50hp. max speed was 16 mph. With the 80hp. I went up to 21 mph. With the underskinning I am up to 24 mph. Light load and just me onboard. All verified using the same Garmin GPS. Pics to follow.

It's that time of year again. I'm back at the pontoon boat. I sold the Yamaha 80hp and just bolted on a 2006 Yamaha F150. I can't wait to get it wet. I also finally purchased the lifting strakes. I got the factory ones that Godfrey is now using on there 2 tube toons. They are 6" on the bottom and 5" tall. I'm running into some problems trying to find someone willing to do the welding to install them. At least with the tubes installed. If I take them off no problem finding someone. To those who have installed there own strakes how did you go about getting them welded on. Everyone I have spoke with about doing it is scared.

I had to remove my tubes to get the weld shop to weld my strakes on. I added a center tube off a old toon I found and added strakes to it also. Installed a new Mercury 250 hp four stroke. I'm enjoying the toon now. What a difference. 50 mph top speed. Cruise at 30 mph all day at 3500 rpm, 3.7 mpg at that speed. Love it.

You might want to see if you can find another Aqua Patio toon around with strakes that you can use to copy the exact positioning of the strakes--taking measurements.

I see no reason that the stakes cannot be welded on with the toons mounted. Gorilla duck tap would hold the strakes onto the hull strong enough to tack weld them on.

You should be looking for a superlative welding shop as I assume they'll have to be good at TIG welding to mount the strakes. With .080 inch thick toons on most boats, the metal's pretty thin. But it's not an impossible job for the right welder.

Rob,

That boat looks great and I have a question about it. Based on what you have up here you got an extra 3 mph out of that 80hp with under skinning. I have a 20ft 01' Sweetwater and am curious if the Aqua Patio has the same supports under the deck, does it have the 3" channels underneath? I ask because I am hitting a brick wall around 20-21mph with a 90hp even trying different props and I really think I am getting a lot of spray on those deep channels holding me back.
