Custom Steering Console

#1 Post by FireEMT41 » Sun Aug 04, 2013 12:51 pm

This may be the wrong area to post this, and if so, I apologize. Still learning the group and new to the pontoon world.

Does anyone have any experience in building a custom stering console/helm? I have looked all over the internet to see if I could find pictures of a custom built helm, or plans that someone has drawn up for one, and my search always comes up a bust.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have a 1987 Bass Tracker 20ft with 40hp Mercury. My console is located in the center of the boat, and I'd like to keep it centered. I like being able to see all around the boat from the console.

Thanks in advance!

I haven't seen any plans for one but I wouldn't think it would be too hard to build. A few 2x4's, plywood & some carpet. I bet it could be made to look very nice.
