Did you notice any knocking noise? Not sure on how these things work or are supposed to sound.

I don't here a knocking noise maybe a squeaking noise though...if you have any doubt I'd have a tech look over it before you take it out. My first boat, I blew the engine. I dident know anything about propping a boat and I was turning 6300rpms on a engine that had a max of 5500rpms. I know now $4500 later

You and Craig BOTH suck :fyou
Engine sounded great to me! They are always a little throaty out of the water.
I couldn't quite tell from the vid if you had water coming out your peephole (or even where it is for sure). Usually not a dealbreaker as those motor muffs kind of suck at times. Sometimes there is a second smaller hole that needs to be covered with a piece of duct tape in order for the muffs to work right. Sometimes cheaper muffs just don't seal well. You can overcome sometimes by cranking up your water pressure a bit. Be careful of running it much or at all if you are not pumping out the pee hole. Not trying to alarm you, mate. It'll be fine once you drop it in...just make sure it is peeing then.

Thanks all. I also confirmed with the guy that rebuilt it. He said what I'm hearing is the compressor and it's normal.

It was peeing, just not a very strong stream. It was much better if I held the muffs on tight though. I was nervous at first as it took a couple of minutes before it started peeing at all.

I haven't posted in quite a while. Sorry about that.

Don't have a lot of progress pics, but I have gotten a lot done. Mostly paperwork items

Boat / Trailer: Registered
Boat: Titled
Insurance: ....Still in process

Control cables installed
Hydraulic steering hooked up and working
Fuel line hooked up
Binnacle installed
Gauges / lighting wired up
Radio: don't think it works :(

Got the boat moved out of the shed where it was being build and is now in a storage building for 24/7 access

Left to do:
- I still need to install the gate stops. Unfortunately, the fencing must have shifted at some point and now I need to spread the front / rear a little bit apart to try and get the gate to shut and fit in the gate stop slot. The fencing is a bit too close together right now
- Install the small cables that have the bimini pins hooked to them
- Install the other 1/2 of the furniture once it arrive

Crazy to think that it is about complete

Got it out today on the water for trials!!!

Image

Unfortunately though. The 1st picture below lead to the 2nd picture below. Was going well till this happened. Ended up waiting on the lake for a 1/2 hour or so. Not many out on the lake today (50*). Only bass tournament people, and they weren't stopping. Don't blame them though, they were on schedules.
