I am about to make my pontoon a floating stereo. we need more tunes at the sand bar. I want to add 4 12" woofers, and about 10 t 12 6.5" speakers. I already have the plans to use two "house batteries" for the stereo only and not mess with the starting battery. I am lost when it comes to how to keep these charged. I'm sure the 2 batteries will last about 10 to 15 mins at most. can I get a 110v generator and hook a battery charger up to it to keep up with the draw of the stereo?

Get deep draw batteries for house use, they should last you a while, the guys with the amps can tell you that, then get you a two bank, deep draw battery charger to charge your batteries at home or you can plug it into your generator if needed, deep draw batteries need a charger just for them to get full charge and last a long time.

never heard of a deep draw charger. where is a good place to find one of those?

I think Herb means a deep cycle charger to go with the 2 deep cycle battery's you will surly need and I would suggest 2 group 31 battery.

It deep cycle battery charger, the best way to make deep cycle's last is to run them all the way down and then recharge them, that's why you don't want to have the engine recharge them, you end up with short cycle batteries.

I got double use out of my TM batteries as I used them in my work trailer to run my saws,lights and sanders, when I was doing window sills I could do four houses on battery power and that was a good days work.
