that is more along the lines of what I want to do. That turned out beautiful!!! How much more do you think it weights compared to the plastic one??? My wife keeps yelling at me to make things lighter not heavier,,,, :donno
It is a little heavier, but not by much.

I drove over to Ikea shortly after replying to this thread and bought a fold down/up table (about $45) and attached it in front of the console.

Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures but here one shot with it down and the other shot with it up.

It doesn't take much room so a cooler can be placed in front when it's down and the cooler stays when the table is up. No need to break it down and stow.

I also have a round table top w/pole that inserts to a base and is located between the helm and port side passenger wrap around seat. That should cover most of the needed table top items.

Heading out to the Delta tomorrow with the wife, eldest daughter and her family. Just to cruise then anchor to grill some brats and drink some brewski. Weather forecast is 77 degrees with 3 mph wind :thumbsup .

Yesterday's cruise up the Georgiana Slough in the Sacramento Delta was fantastic. I'll post report later today with pics but I just wanted to post this pic of the fold up/down table I recently installed.
Without the table, where would all the Burger & Brats condiments and chips be placed while everyone was eating? :lol3
