I know right. The front barely touches the water and when a few of us sit out back it picks the front up out of the water.
This old boat probably wasn't intended to have a Mercury 115 strapped to the back
Re: Fun-Toon
Got the front roof on today. I'm really pleased with it overall and plan to do more to it

Thank you, I think so too. Really changes things
Re: Fun-Toon
The donor boat had a 40 hp Force with a tachometer. Will this tach work on my Mercury 115?

Re: Fun-Toon
Thanks for the update!
Do you know the weight of that 3rd pontoon?

Re: Fun-Toon
I don't know the weight of it but I'm guessing it is pretty close to the same weight as the other two as they are close to the same size. Why do you ask?willy13 wrote:Thanks for the update!

Re: Fun-Toon
My Welder is having a terrible time sealing all of the pin holes. It looks like I'm going to have to take it to someone else to fix the pin holes. Any suggestions?
Re: Fun-Toon
3rd toon is in bit has several pin hole leaks around new welds. I'm going to try to find a Welder on Monday who is more experienced with welding on old pontoons

Re: Fun-Toon
The older aluminum can be a pain to weld on. Especially aluminum that has been in salt water. the thickness is also a problem. TIG might be a better choice than a MIG.
