#1 Post by curtiscapk » Wed Jul 08, 2015 11:45 am

Damn Rain! July 8th and THE FLOATER hasn't hit water except for the 15 ft of rain hitting it sitting on the trailer!

First pic is normal pool last year of my ramp.

Second on a pic from this morning thanks to a neighbor.

Yup, My lake has a similar look and its pouring rain here today. We went from not going out much due to low levels to not going out at all due to storm damage. I hope to save whats left of the season starting in late July.

I feel your pain...We have not been on the water since Memorial Weekend. I had to move my camper of our yearly spot at the Harbor so it would not flood on June 17th, and we have not been back since. Thought we were going to be back for the 4th, then we (you guys too) got nailed with 6 inches of rain. Now this week, another 4 inches of rain. Pomme is 19 feet high and rising (like a bad version of a Johnny Cash song)! We cannot put our camper back until the lake drops 11 feet which with no rain will take 22 days, but the chances of no rain this summer are a joke! I am starting to think this summer may be a washout

Well at least the water authority there moved the dock or added one. At Sam Rayburn you have to wade in waist deep water to get on the dock at the ramp! Gee thanks corps of engineers! :fyou

I have 3 lakes close by where I live in Ok. Keystone, Ologah, and Skiatook. Lucky my favorite Skiatook is normal level. The rest are pretty flooded

The 3 closest lake to me are 18,32, and 35 feet above normal. The 2nd 2 broke highest records ever. Maybe one ramp on each lake open. Campgrounds all closed. Floating debris everywhere!!
