Decking Options

#1 Post by 4thCoastPontoon » Sat Jul 11, 2015 3:42 pm

Planning my pontoon remodel (whenever I get that "diamond in the rough").

Instead of gluing carpet to the plywood, I wanted to see about snap-in carpeting. But first, should I laminate a vinyl floor over the plywood first, then apply the snaps on top?

My thought is that (with raising the railing 1/4" or 1/2") I can pressure wash the decks and wash the carpets when they get dirty.

Thoughts? Thanks!

How about vinyl flooring with snap in carpet in places you really want it? Just a thought. :donno
