Hi all, I have just started to strip the old carpet off my boat and was hoping there is a stripper to remove the glue. This is a 2004 Smokercraft so the glue is pretty tough.
Thanks Chuck

I prefer the old school approach...

Fire. It's fast, it's thorough, it's entertaining, and darned if it's not a great way to meet your local fire department!

I'm kidding, of course.

Can't think of a stripper right now but pulling off the carpet and sanding with a floor machine would probably do what you need. You going to go back with carpet?

I thought of a stripper that was real rough that took the chrome off the hitch ball.

I am planning paint or vinyl, carpet way too hard to keep clean when we are on the islands in Titusville

Paint not so much,IMHO, although there is a paint on stuff called tuff coat( has rubber in it) I think. Vinyl would be my recommendation and Pontoon Stuff has some and it is what I used on my rebuild.

Heck, I guess I can think of a lot of strippers. Just go down to the strip-club, right?

:lol3

I just can not bring myself to produce a serious answer in this thread.

After a lot of reading I am going with the vinyl flooring from PS. Ordered the stuff on Sunday and the flooring arrived yesterday wow that was fast as I have not got the deck sanded yet. With today being turkey day I hope to get on it Friday.
