Deck screws or bolts
I am about to re-deck my toon, I am debating, should I get the xylan coated self-tapping screws, or the stainless steel deck bolts? It seems like the self-tapping screws would be easier and faster, but do they stay tightened over the long term? Has anybody had luck using the screws over the bolts?

Screws, order them from PontoonStuff.com use the discount code forum10 if you ordered a floor kit from them, all you have to do is tell them how big your boat is and they will send you everything to do the job

I used the self-tapping screws from PS and would do the same if I rebuild another one.

I bought the vinyl floor kit from pontoonstuff.com and didn't need to use any of the self tapping screws because my deck was in great shape. Just looked and it says they provide 100 screws in the kit. So that's probably what I have. I'd be happy to send them to you for the cost of postage. PM me your address if you'd like them.JEB wrote:I am about to re-deck my toon, I am debating, should I get the xylan coated self-tapping screws, or the stainless steel deck bolts? Thanks guys, I think I have decided on the 28oz carpet kit from pontoostuff.com and will get the screws. They just seem so much easier than trying to drill holes in the right spot for bolts. I think I would probably end up with a bunch of extra holes in my deck.
