I would suggest contacting pontoonstuff.com to see if they carry a special mastic for that purpose.

You cannot just go to Home Depot/Lowes and get a vinyl floor mastic. There are many different kinds of glues for different floors on different substrates. You have to get the correct one for your use.

I put the wrong mastic on 750 square feet of a 3" x 36" Naafco strip flooring that looked like wood--on a concrete slab. First time the floor got wet, the flooring started popping up. I had to spend many days removing the new floor and reinstalling it with a special Domco 404 adhesive/mastic made for that purpose. Get the right stuff.

In that case, I'd take a sample of the flooring and go to a large flooring store that sells a bunch of vinyl flooring. Ask them what they suggest.

Our local flooring giant has a separate building full of different kinds of mastics. Some are pretty flammable.

Yes be very careful of your surroundings when applying. Used to dock at a marina with a rack storage building. Some guy was working with glue on his boat and a spark set off a fire that burned the whole place down, boats and all.

So the glue was flammable that caused the fire? Wow!

You need glue that is designed for outdoor vinyl which is more tolerant of wet conditions, or preferably marine glue.

Check out HH-66 contact cement for vinyl, which is waterproof and inexpensive.
