Moved the fencing and top as far back as I could. All fencing was thru bolted also. The hinge doors I took all them off. The tag on back was my Mothers on her last car she owned. Figured cool place for it. You can also see the shutters I put on. Since my dock face due west these help with the late afternoon/evening sun.

Re: Not your normal rebuild
Good Idea! wanting to do something similar for a raft up location. no motor, a second deck with a slide for the Gkids. maybe a restroom/change room. pull it out with pontoon and anchor it out as base dock for summer fun. Oh and add a nice BBQ pit. cheap with no motor.

Re: Not your normal rebuild
I have a neighbor who has a floating dock. He doesn't own a boat. Every now & then he carries a battery & trolling motor onto it, pulls the pins on the last section, and takes it for a spin around the lake.

Re: Not your normal rebuild
Here it is on way back to dock. Amazing with the added dock float it towed about the same. Actually since it sets higher in water now maybe towed a little better. But man is it firm in the water. I jumped on it and it barely made any waves. I could barely get it to bounce. If anyone is considering doing something like this adding dock floats is the way to go.

Here it is back at dock. I have less than a total of 2k in it now. Plus 4 days of long hard work and a bunch of beers.
