Motor pan/pod/transom

#1 Post by sunshine52 » Tue Oct 11, 2016 4:17 am

New guy here from Central Florida. I am rebuilding a 1984 Godfrey 15', previous owner had bigger toons cut down and installed on it.

The motor pan/pod has some areas that were eaten away by galvanic corrosion. It may be repairable, but am pricing out options for just replacing it.

Am I crazy, or are the pans/pods not really sold aftermarket or otherwise? I've literally not been able to find a single one online. I've seen some center logs with engine brackets, but I don't think I wanna put that kind of money into it at this point. Do most people fab them or find them in marine salvage yards? Am I using the wrong search terms?

Mine looks like the picture attached. Any insight is appreciated.

Yup..thanks

Man, I spent a ton of time without pulling a single one up.

That being said, that one is much larger than the only I currently have, and considerably more expensive than I was anticipating.

I can't find his online site but call Bill 250-400 for his transoms. Questions? Call Bill at 573-729-4617. Salem, MO.

We have a pretty good shop at work. I can get welding done for free, but I'd have to carry it somewhere to get bent most likely, can definitely do it way cheaper than that though. Really don't mind supporting businesses and everyone likes hitting the easy button, but holy cow. Hell, I only have $250 and 6 beers into the boat, trailer, and motor at this point.
