Metal top

#1 Post by outta control » Thu Oct 20, 2016 7:40 am

A good friend of mine on Hartwell. Has an ole pontoon that stays in the water uncovered year around. He just bought a metal frame that used to have a fabric top. It is the kind that you see a lot of people with metal skins on them instead of fabric. He is thinking about corrugated steel. Are there any better options ? If so please share a link.

Thanks

I don't have a metal roof but, here's a link:

My guess is steel is too heavy for that use.

My boat has an aluminum roof, same material that truck caps are made out of. Maybe a metal roofing supply house could help locate some. Would also need cross pieces to keep it rigid. Just pop rivet it on

My old Starcraft has an aluminum sheet roof on a frame made out of the same square aluminum tubing the fence is made of. It weighs about 100 lbs., and I can put it up and take it down to the fence.
