Resto update..

Got the new deck on, the 80mil vinyl from PS is really nice!
Ended up applying GLUVIT epoxy over the entire top sections of the pontoons while the wood was off.
Still unsure of how my seating config is going to be set up, but ordered the console and got it loaded up!

Stripping the panels.
Once prepped, plan is to epoxy primer entire panels/rails.
Going to use automotive paint/hardener.
Plan on painting the outside of the panels the same blue as my Ford Expo, and the rest a silver/gray that complements the
PS vinyl gray, blue and charcoal color scheme..

Howdy, I too am a proud new owner of a Landau 18' Castaway, 1991.
So, of course, I am very interested in your restoration. Looks so very good so far. Have you done anything further?

I spent my first two weeks fixing the trailer that hadn't had new tires in 25 years and had chocolate milk for wheel bearing grease.
New wench, tires, bearings, bunks and coupler have put that right so far.

I put it in the water and the 25 year old Tohatsu two stroke fired right up so I think I'm lucky there. Starting to work on the electric, furniture and sonar next.
Keep up and good work and please post some pics for your fellow old Landau owners.

Nice Boat!

Just finishing up with the last details. Plan on painting some stripes on the side with the silver/gray paint I used on the inside panels and rails, hense the blue tape on the sides..
Since it's a small boat I'm leaning towards using nice aluminum folding chairs up front for fishing seats as I think it makes more sense than stationary folding seats..

Very Nice job! I have the same flooring and we like it but just a note.....It heats up really bad on sunny days, and it is a magnet for dirt and mold. Hard to keep clean but way better than carpet and repels water. I wouldn't change mine but I wanted to let you know.

I'm surprised it heats up so much being so light. My gray teak vinyl doesn't get real hot, But I'm in NH rarely over 95.

WOW! Really great job. Love the color scheme, the new furniture and console, and decking.

Are you happy with it? How'd you like it on the water?

I noticed you had Garmin fish finder, how'd you mount the transducer?

Anyway great job, hope I can get somewhere close with my Landau in the next year.

Happy tooning.
