After removing original plywood on my 1992 there is some corrosion on aluminum support brackets as pictured.
Anyone found this during there rebuilds Any recommendations as to treatment or prevention before it gets ant worse?
Thanks!

Did it by chance have the green pressure treated touching it?

I know something in the green stuff will corrode aluminium. Not sure about the new stuff they are selling now. Marine stuff I think is ok.

Yikes! I think I would add some extra metal to support that. Haven't seen that on metal that doesn't touch water full time.

This is usually caused y using regular pressure treated plywood on the deck, I have seen it alot there is too much copper in regular pressure treated wood, and causes the pitting you are seeing when in contact with aluminum, A good CCA treated plywood is required when in contact with aluminum, especially if it was in salt water. Do you know the history of this boat? Was it ever in salt water?
