Thanks, hope to finish up today.

Been a long week, FIL passed on Sunday morning and a week of snow has hampered toon work

He was 91 and funeral was yesterday, we are getting his fishing gear this weekend to mount on our boat as a reminder of the good life.

So these came in this week to replace the little ones mounted that only 1/4 inch rope would fit, they had lots of burrs and sharp edges due to sand castings and then hot dipped galvanizing

I spent a few minutes with a file and they are now smooth and wont cut rope

Gotta go feed animals and me, get some beer on ice and work on Das Boat

Well started day off by glueing everything up tight, putting into boat..

And then removing it to fix it...argh...

You can compare both pics, the other day and today

It drains/overflows out the side like normal boat piss holes

Next was to fix the front, the seats hit the rails when you tried to turn around, pain in the arse.

Next cleats were way sloppy loose and needed to add more in better places

So rails removed and will use them on back sundeck i need to make. And seat moved forward 3-1/2 inches

Then it was going to be move console and prep for modifications....ugh...after i remove a huge birds nest.

Wiring is sketchy as shit, 10 gage power and 16 gage ground to fuse box and bus bar....err...so i need to run a bigger ground wire to bus bar

Unmarked wires and cheap speaker wire used a lot.

Biggest thing i caught? A non factory speaker wire named....throttle....yup...throttle, with guess what? A blown fuse, so i will go through manual tonight and see what that is about

you are correct, until I find some time to trace and use a meter (hopefully Sunday) it could actually turn on a unicorn glitter fart machine...lol...

Al tho, I doubt that, she starts right up and will run until bulb/water separator/filter is empty then it dies, pump bulb...and fires right back up until out of primed fuel

waiting on fuel pump diaphragm kit to show up.

Also to EDIT post with plumbing

the lower black valve controls tank fill or drain

the blue valve controls tank empty, tied into overflow, out of boat

and the forward black valve is lake water wash down for dirt and sand

so upper black closed, blue closed and lower black open, water will flow in and exchange dirty water through over flow

close lower black, close blue and open upper black and we can wash off deck etc with lake water

close upper black, and open lower black and blue with pump off and I can drain tank (will leave about 1 inch to vacuum out at home after fresh water rinse )

DISCLAIMER these are NOT for driving on the lake, purely for docking

Navigating at night is what compass and chart plotter are for (plus around here white light, other than mast light is illegal while underway)

I guess quotes don't work either?

Just wanted folks to know what the lights are for

I know this isn't typical restore or modifications...this is what makes a pontoon boat the "taco" of the smooth water......it is only a vessel.....to hold what you want
