The pontoon boat idea was to get both our fathers out on the water, sadly her father passed last month 93 yrs old
and the crazy thing is my dad was in the hospital for 4 months Nov/March, he came way to close, he is better and getting better every day.
He actually got his license , pole and tackle last week...he is ready

So her exterior has been made over on a budget of ~$85 dollars, not counting beer and wine
1-1/2 cans rustoleum semi-gloss white
2 foam rollers
2 .25 chip brushes
1 roll medium tack transfer tape
2 rolls of blue painters tape
And 2 rolls of Orical 651 vinyl
Misc beer and about 20 hrs of time
Whatcha think?

Here is a picture from yesterday of just turquoise strip, it looked wayyy too straight and organized.
Adding the grey made it look more 3d or something
And her butt looks better,
The engine now is ugly..
Mmm....a coral colored engine with turquoise numbers...maybe later

Notice the "manufacture" of the bus
We were heavily involved in the online Isuzoo community, we now hang out a couple times a year at URE (NC) the beach etc.
I was given old dead Isuzu's and sent parts to people as a good omen thing, to buy the bus I scrapped out 21k lbs of Isuzu carcasses @ and bought my bus with the cash
got ride of 21k lbs and drove 16K+ back

I replaced the plastic and steel plugs with brass

We finally got the boat sitting in her slip late yesterday evening, we have gotten so much rain the lake is up about 8ft, so everything is under water (We used Rat Branch and locals will know about the pier there, only about 6 inches of the rail was out of the water)
We tried 3 different ramps until we found one that worked, kind of...I had to drive off the trailer.
Also when I got to the ramp the hub was on fire

backed it into the water to put it out, said poo on it
So we went for a nice 45 min cruise to our slip, and then back to get trailer

Lost a bearing on a single axle pontoon trailer once, on an interstate at 65 mph, just a little scary. $400 tow bill later we were home in the yard plotting the repair. Found out it was cheaper, faster and easier to replace the entire axle.
