Homemade sundeck

#1 Post by Milabu69 » Sun May 06, 2018 4:02 pm

I decided to make a sundeck over the winter. Mainly to block noise from the outboard. I drew the prints and had a local shop make the frame. I borrowed my sisters sewing machine and taught myself to sew. Made the cushion and a cover for when it's not being used. I have a mooring cover that I didn't want to stop using so I had to mount the sundeck spaced away from the back of the boat. If you look at the pictures you can see an ear that swings into place and is attached with a ball lock pin. I pull the pin and it swings down so I can put the cover on. I haven't launched my boat yet so I don't know how much the noise will be reduced, but I now have 3' x 8' of extra space.
