Swim deck floor...

#1 Post by justrfb » Wed May 30, 2018 11:00 am

Hello All.
Been a while since I have been on here... Long story for another post. We still have our beloved boat and I need some help. Our boat is getting long in the tooth but still is a looker... From 5 or 10 feet away at least. Our carpet is in bad shape and I found out just how bad this weekend when I borrowed a power washer and "washed" Da Boat. The carpet on the small area that serves as our swim deck basically blew apart. I cut it off as I will be doing a whole floor replacement as soon as the end of this season but until then, I was just going to paint the floor with some sort of grit paint. What would (or have) you done? Thanks for your help.

Peace.

why not just get a cheap carpet or rug from a discount store? use some U staples to mount it..walla'

or rustoleum and small granite grains and then after it dries, another coat of paint? sand box sand may be to fine to add grip after 2nd coat

Hello All.
Annemarie and I went to our local Lowes and bought a scrap piece of outdoor carpet and a thin door mat... Can you see which one I used?... :lol3 Worked out much better than I thought... It is screwed down in a few places and the side molding and cleat and such all hold it down. Should hold till we can redo the whole floor.

Peace.
