I should come to this forum before starting my rebuild!!!
I see now that you shouldn’t use the green pt plywood.
What about the newer brown colored pt. Is that just as bad?

Re: Brown pt plywood
Technically you can use the green BUT it CAN NOT touch aluminum anodized or not, (it will corrode it) so if you used rubber or something strips it would work.
But for the trouble AND glue adhesion issues, I wouldn't use it.
The marine plywood is about $85 a
Sheet, has no voids and uses waterproof glue, that is why it is the way to go.
Regular plywood doesn't have water proof glue or coatings....bad juujuu

Unless you're going to sell your boat next year, go ahead and invest in the proper 3/4 inch marine grade plywood. Regular plywood just doesn't last very long. (Don't ask how I know.) Marine plywood has a long, long lifespan.
