Floor Coverings

Once I find my boat, I will most likely start with the floor. Assuming it has marine plywood decking and cost being a factor what are my best options? My wife wants a floor that is comfortable on the feet and not too hot or slick. This is Texas, after all. I definitely want water proof. The way I see it, my options are:
1. Tinted bedliner paint (in a light color to keep the heat down) I worry that this would be tough on my beautiful wife's lovely feet, but I am open to suggestions. I think this would be the least slippery option.
2. Epoxy flooring like commonly used in garage floors with rubber sprinkles to prevent slipping. How are they with heat? How pricey is it and can I do it myself?
3. Vinyl flooring. How durable is vinyl compared to the other options?
I plan on prepping the plywood floor by caulking the seams, sanding it, and applying a good primer. I'd love pictures of what you've done if you have them. TIA.
