Springfield Marine Table Pedestal and Base - Twistlock

#1 Post by mahotoon » Wed Apr 01, 2020 9:09 am

Hi there, the plastic table base on my pontoon (2004 20') broke. Of course I thought, that should be no problem, just get another base. Well, apparently, Springfield no longer produces this type of coupling and although I can find some "New-old-stock" posts online bases are impossible to find. Oh, and Springfield is closed due to COVID-19 and they do not respond to messages or email.

Attached are pictures of the good base (2nd table) and pedestal end.

I guess I can replace the whole pedestal and base, but it seems unnecessary and a waste.

Any ideas?

build up edge with weld and use a dremel type tool to reshape it to look like the good one?
