Plywood for deck boat

Want to restore and maybe reconfigure my 94’ Lowe 2220 deck boat. Haven’t pulled it apart yet. Looks like could be 1” plywood. Most everything I’ve seen available is 3/4. If so what kind do I need. Is there a difference between marine and treated plywood. I plan on using some type of vinyl covering. Definitely not going back with carpet. Thanks in advance

Im dang sure a rookie at this but Im in the middle of pulling the deck off my 21 Voyager right now. Im going back with 3/4" Marine Grade plywood. Lowes carries it for ~$75 for a 4x8 sheet grade A on one side an B on the other. Just do A side up. (If you are a veteran Lowes gives a 10% discount on most items)

Or, Pontoon stuff has complete re-deck kits. Plywood, screws, glue, vinyl.

I just finished mine in the last several weeks. I used 3/4 marine grade from Lowe's. Ordered the vinyl flooring kit from PontoonStuff. Comes with everything but the plywood to get all the way to having your fence back on.

Rent you a 100# floor roller to roll out the vinyl. Cost me $11 for a day.

Worked like a charm.

@ TWB - does the vinyl kit from Pontoonstuff.com include the joint compound to fill in screw holes and board seams?

Ah! It does NOT include joint compound.
Deck screws to put down plywood, adhesive frame taping for under-sealing where plywood seams meet, flooring, adhesive, bolts to put fence rails back in place.

Sorry to have led you astray! :|

just a question from someone who hasn't replaced a deck yet but I'm sure i will in the future....do you need the joint compound if you are putting down adhesive for the vinyl? I would figure the adhesive would seep into the cracks and crevices and not cause a low spot.

The adhesive doesnt have enough body to it and will seep out/in and leave low spots. Just too runny

i see...i'm used to using contact cement (not for this application, just in general) and wasn't sure if the adhesive was as thick or not.
