was just getting ready to update. Well this is about as good as I can do. Not top quality but it's been a lot of trial and error. 1 front corner done so not a 1/4 the way yet.

Having trouble getting metal to seat in top slot. Don't know why but in the corner it doesn't want to sit all the way down. Was going to just use the gray vinyl edging on sides and bottom, but it did not look good. It was wavy and difficult to get to seat on metal before or after attaching metal. Just a hot mess.

So went to big box home store and found 1" aluminum angle. cutting it with jig saw putting on sides and underneath (between rail botls). With bottom trim under the bottom aluminum angle. I'd probably skip the bottom vinyl trim but my wife fears someone will cut their toe.

My metal is pretty banged up and not as flat as I would have liked but looks better than the old stuff.

If I Had it to do over again I'd probably not had replaced metal panel and either painted original or lived with. If my metal had slid in like others I've seen If it would have been great.

Just remember, the little imperfections or different techniques you thought about later are things only you know about it. And that's what drives all of us crazy when we do a project. But nobody else knows the history and they'll just be amazed by how good your boat looks.

Yes aha moments like I had this morning: Why am I using angle when I could use a straight 1" aluminum bar. Found that 1/16 has enough flex that I can make the bend. Have to go to metal super store to get it.

Gotta agree with the others -- only you know where any imperfections are. From the pics, it looks great. I hear you, though. We had a bugger of a time doing ours. What I thought would take a couple of days ended up taking 4 or 5.

The paying work got busy and low and behold another boating season is on. So I'm pushing hard.
Railings are done and in place. More seats on order as there was a change in floor plan like 3 days ago. Everyone wanted more couch.

The 1" aluminum looks way better I'll get a photo next time down.

So new couch and new console on order. Expected on water July 1 wish me luck.

ok all seats that I have are mounted. Wiring is strapped down. Console is refinished and bolted down. tried to order new one but apparently they are all out of stock along with my last couch seat base. Steering, shifting installed and working. Found out today the bimini top needs to be replaced, that's on order too. Started engine needs new water pump. But the engine ran good.

Target date of water after the 4th weekend. with or without the missing pieces.
