Motor-
Where did you order your carport from? I'm going to order a metal garage soon and was wondering how your experience was.

Thanks!

Last year I ordered a 36 footer with 12' legs from Neals Karkare And Karport Sales in Maryville TN. At the time they were 2 months out, but due to the 'rona that time came and went and they said it will be another 3 months. So I looked around for a used one and bought a 36' w/10' legs with enclosed sides in Greenville TN off CL so I cancelled my order with Neals.

After all that I realized I had measured my existing 60' carport wrong (boat would not fit under it) that is on a slight grade wrong(measured the short leg). Long story short, I found a mfg of carports in NC that would sell me 2.5' leg extensions to raise my existing carport to fit my 'toon. I am now putting up the 36 footer to park my tractor under.

These guys build and mfg every component of carports, the operation was impressive and they sell direct to the public. I do not know what their backlog is at this time, but figure out what you want and give them a call. Almost all carport sale are middle men that have their own crew to put them up, so shop the best price because the components are pretty much identical.

Thanks for the info. I"ll check them out.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a metal garage and these guys have been recommended by a few people near me. https://alansfactoryoutlet.com/

Yep, Alan's has a good rep too. Try and really pin them down on a delivery date as I am curious as to what they say.

I ordered from Alan's yesterday. They are now quoting 120-180 days delivery estimate. And the price went up by about 15% from a couple of months ago when I was doing budget pricing!

Dang, that's crazy long to wait. But as the 'rona cools down the supply chain whiplash is gonna be epic. My buddy is trying to buy a new side by side....one dealer had 200 deposits in hand and NO product, all other dealers are out of stock, no time frame for arrival.

Ok, we have been out a few times now with the patio furniture. I like the thick Sumbrella cushions and they are very comfortable. The problem is since we trailer to and from we have to take up the cushions and put them in bags which fill up the truck bed. Also, there is no storage under/in them so a TON of wasted space. After Memorial day on the lake(awesome) my wife said order the 'real' pontoon seats :smoke ....no problemo. On the way are Pontoonstuff.com's 72" lean back seats for the front, and a 55" bench with drink holder end for across from the console.

No worries, the patio furniture now goes on the deck at the house which she has been asking for for ....uhmmmm...years>......winwin :drink2

May be late to game, don't remember but I have used Lyons roofing in Piney flats many times.

Didn't read through all the pages.... the installer I use is 👌

Pontoonstuff.com shipped a partial seat order, one lean back base, one armrest, and three 55" sets of cushions. They sent an email saying the 55" bases are on indefinite back order, so I asked them if they were built out of country or in US, the response was:

"Hello Richard,
That is actually done in Elkhart, Indiana. It all comes from plastic shortages to make the pellets needed for the rotomolding process.
I hope this helps!"

So it looks like we are stuck with the patio furniture for most of the summer.....could be worse....{sigh}

Well, it took awhile and the seats all trickled in over several months. They are fantastic, made the boat really pop. Next on the list was a canvass surround for the cabin. Long story, but a local upholsterer ripped me off by taking my deposit and never ordering the materials. So canvass is still missing, which is why I have not done a build out in the cabin yet.

Anyway, the transom wood is rotten and it's time to replace it. We are going to use a tractor with forks to lift the engine out of the way and hopefully slid out the old plywood, make a new one and slide it in. Easy right......??? :smoke

Pic's to follow.........
