Ok, prepping the engine for removal. Hint on the steering cable, if you don't have enough room to pull it out from the front of the engine, suspend the engine then push it off to one side while pulling out the steering assembly.

We cheated by using a FEL and tractor to do the lifting:

New 1-1/2" in Ply transom in and bolts snugged up:

Nice! Just had my transom redone as well. Wood from PS and Welder at one of our jobsites added some support to the aluminum.

I just realized, the old girl is now 36 years old :drink

I cleaned the toons today, headed to the lake tomorrow........

Considering buying an 1988 toon with an upper sundeck and 2016 Yamaha 115; maybe a nice winter project!

Better Half vetoed that...said we need the pontoon to get away from the other projects - we don't need another one!
Since we are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and need to brace up some 90 year old wood floors, I guess she may have a point there.
