I bought a 2000 2575lx Bennington tritoon with sport package and underskinning. Carpet had a hole in it. Seats were a little sunburned. Siding in poor shape. Time for a lot of work.

Pontoon was underskinned so no access from below. I could have cut off bolts. But I used a cordless ratchet on a 2 inch pvc pipe with a small pvc pipe to control the speed of the ratchet. Got it all off in less than an hour.

Wood was in decent shape but I replaced it due to the amount of work and expense to redo floor. A local guy that restored pontoons had the 8.5 sheets for a reasonable charge.

Went with a woven vinyl floor. No more wet carpet.

Time to replace railings. Sheet metal came fenceforpontoons. That was fun to cut and mount. Especially around gas tank fill.

Numbers and sticker time. Bennington logo came from Serbia off of ebay. Strange but looks good.

I had the seats recovered because they were comfortable and I really liked the captains seat. It swivels to the side to face the other seats when anchored.

Motor and dash all wired back up. And it works! I am waiting on new bimini top to be delivered from restorepontoon. I also installed new led lights for navigation and dock lights for the front instead of reusing old plastic module. That allowed me to install cleats for the front instead of having to use the pontoon eyes.

I added rear underwater lights and chasing lights for the pontoons.

Damn neighbor -- for a minute there I thought you were restoring my old boat! I had a 2001 2275 with a Honda BF115 on Lake Murray and sold it three years ago to a guy in Lexington. Mine was only two toons and yours is a tri and I see you have the F135 motor. But everything else looks like mine did.

I also stripped mine down to the deck and replaced the carpet with vinyl. Your pics bring back so many memories of that project. I had kept my vinyl in great shape all those years and did not have to recover it when I refurbed my boat. I also did not have to replace the plywood deck. I had the boat wrapped a few years before my refurb so I did not have to replace the sheet metal.

Great job on the project. It looks great.

Thanks for the kind words. I had a 2005 24ft. Bentley pontoon until I bought this one a few months ago. I liked the rear entry and the larger motor and capability for up to a 225. It definitely is a much heavier duty boat and even though it is only one foot bigger at 25ft it handles very different even docking. Hopefully we will like it for years to come.
