Cushy seats

#1 Post by dcpritch » Sat Apr 17, 2021 9:31 pm

I have a ‘91 Sylvan Supreme that we redid 10 years ago, now the seats are baked again and it looks like it’s easier to replace the seats than buy a new pontoon. We were on a friend’s Bennington and my wife loved the seats, says she either wants seats like that or a boat like that. I’m inclined to replace the seats, and Mother’s Day is just around the corner ...

So, where can I get the super premium seats we enjoyed on that Bennington?

Thanks, David

Plenty of places to buy replacement seats... Check out Pontoonstuff.com also Cabellas. bass pro, most big sporting good stores that have a marine division.

Thanks Roland, I hadn’t thought of the big outdoor stores, though none are within an hour of me. We will have to order online and we want nicer seats then the ones we got last time (10 years ago) from an online dealer. “Super cushy” seats are my marching orders!

I rebuilt last year and used the premium seats from Pontoonstuff. I really like the cushioning they have and the installation and upkeep are easy.

These look like quite an upgrade from what I’ve seen as their premium offerings. Thanks so much for the peak. You say they won’t be available until next season?!?

Their plan was releasing the line this year, but like everything else covid came into play. With everyone buying boats of all kinds and years, they could barely and sometimes couldn't keep current items in stock. I'm in constant contact with the owner and they're shooting for the line to come out next year. Here are some more with his permission.

Man I wish those seats were available right now, they are the best looking things I’ve seen anywhere for replacements. They wouldn’t be interested in some far north product testing, would they?! My seats are in pretty poor shape and getting through this summer season will be (way) less than ideal.

I would love to purchase these seats!!! I'm contacting them to see if I can get on a pre-order status. My boat is being restored this off-season, but I would wait a few months if these things are close to being ready for ordering. Do you know what the rough pricing of these might be over the existing "Premier" line? Also do you know if they might be ready to start shipping any of these any time soon? Maybe the owner can give you some inside info -- wink wink?

These look better than anything else on the internet right now as far as replacement seats go.

I talked to James yesterday. With all the shipping crap going on, these want be ready till Feb/March 2022.

I think I'm going to go with the beige ones as they'll still go with the burgundy of THE FLOATER. I do not want to tackle the fence, floor, and console again. :scared :scared
