RE: flushing motor after fresh water use.

Flushing the motor certainly will cause no harm. However, it is not necessary when the boat is used in fresh water. The purpose of flushing after salt water use is to remove the salt which is corrosive. If you operate in brackish water such as portions of the St Johns river, then flush it.
