Underskinning material question

So I was thinking the other day, we have a metal roofing manufacturer right in town that tells me they can produce any configuration for trim, etc out of their metal. For trim they seem to use a thinner, lighter material as well. I bet if I get some good measurements of what I want they can make customized pieces for me. Any thoughts?
