They're really nice pontoon boats--first class. They use the heaviest vinyl in the industry. I find their styling somewhat conservative on some of their models.

As far as their performance hulls, Avalon/Tahoe uses lifting strakes on the outside of the hulls. They won't corner as well as a Manitou or other brands using larger center tubes, but they should be fast in a straight line.

T&M Marine in northern Minnesota is their biggest dealer and the largest seller of pontoons in the country. They have a large website.

I have a 22 Paradise Elite and love it. The boat is built as well as any out there, structurally and aesthetically. The furniture is all aluminum frame which will never break, hull completely thru bolted. About the heaviest grade vinyl on a boat.

From what I could find, Avalon appears to be a little more plush than the Tahoe even though it is the same manufacturer. Customer service has been fantastic as well. I recently added a center pontoon made from the factory, and they were very easy to deal with and stuck to the time frame.

BTW I do not have any affiliation with them. The dealer I worked with was Darrells Marine in Astor Fl. Sales guy is named Ray and he is very knowledgeble. I was torn between the Bennington and the Avalon, just liked the Avalon layout a little better.

The only thing I wish they did was make solid keels standard.

Good luck

I've had my Avalon Ambassador for year and I love it. It's solid and the customer service has been good.

I have a 2005 Tahoe. I haven't had any issues, seats like new. Dealer was bought out by competitor and then shut down. I called corporate about an electical issue I was having last year and they responded right away by email and helped me find the issue. I have also called about a few small parts and they were eager to help. I really think you should not plan on ever having dealer support, if you get it great, but most of the time you are on your own.

We LOVE our 24' FNF. We just put the full camper on for the first time this weekend.

All we could say, was "man these people are PROFESSIONALS!" No instructions, but there were labels on each of the 6 pieces, and the fit and finish are top-notch.

I wish I could give the same level of praise to the outfit that sold us the boat, but they are first-rate sales slime.

One more thing. Their customer service is absolutely amazing. A few weeks ago, I e-mailed them, because I was having an issue with the volt meter... They just shipped me a new one. This is probably the best customer service I have seen anywhere, for the last 30 years.

I have a 2008 22' Tahoe vista elite re Bought new in spring of 2010.

Very good quality seats. All aluminum seat bases.

The only downside was that I had some transom defection. I have a 75hp fourstroke, boat rated at 125, but the 75 weights the same as a 115. Most people probably would not notice it. Took back to the dealer in the winter and the factory sent additional cross members that they installed. In the end they took care of it.

Overall we love it. Get compliments all the time!!!
