The old prop was a 15.25 x 15 pitch aluminum Yamaha. The new one is a 14.25 x 17 Stainless Yamaha Reliance.

Old prop maxed out at 39.63 MPH with no load and clean hull. Turned 5500 RPM

New prop maxed at 40.0 with load and hull in the water for two weeks. Turned 5500 RPM
(Bought it on ebay for 350)

New prop corners much better. I don't lose grip anything like I used to. It's fun to corner sharply at 40.00! Hole shot seems to be stronger also.

I figure if I get the two 10' kayaks off the front and scrub the hull I should pick up another MPH or two, but since the goal was to get to 40. I'm a happy camper.

I wonder about the RPMs though. Could my rev limiter be set too low? It's supposed to be at 6200 but the motor has never turned more than 5500.
