Pontoon boat with pull out sleepers?

#1 Post by mike37909 » Mon Feb 09, 2009 12:18 pm

Does anyone know of any models that pull out sleepers? I know some older crest have them across from eachother, and voyagers have an L shaped pullout that is a sleeper but are there any others? I am looking for something with 4 fishing seats or maybe 2 if they are in the back. This will be a first pontoon for me and I don't know if I should get a new or used.

I'm surprised no one has put slider's on one yet, you leave it to tow and to run fast then when you stop ,put out the sliders and you got an 11 foot wide toon, it would have to be a triple toon for sure.

That would make a great big fishing area front, dam I screwed up and gave away a good ideal, they will be models with slide outs before the years out.

Our 04 Regency has two pullouts in front and one on side L sofa in rear. We never use them and loose over half under seat storage because of them. If I knew how to make seat work without them I would pull them out.

The cool thing with mine is the backs hook to the front of the bench and have legs that fold down for the middle support. All seats have full storage. I will get better pics in a couple of weeks if anyone is interested, I think on older boats if not set up to do it it wouldn't be hard, since we have only had toon out once with lotsa extra guest Admiral Paula is looking forward to putting them to use under lotsa sun. :boobies

The Party Cruiser has 3 pullout sleepers, one at the stern:

One in the cabin:

.. and both lounge seats fold out enough for two people to sleep on each:

Sleeps 6 comfortably, but we've had 9 stay overnight pretty much sleeping anywhere they dropped.

our old flotebote had them similar to cc's and we had the same problem
as lr, took up way too much storage space. we used them like twice.

I hadn't seen sliders on a toon yet, I figgured some one would do it soon, you could have a big sleep area up there

You can get an inflatable air mattress that fits between the lounge seats. I have one that has a pump and it inflates in about 30 seconds.

Thanks everyone! It is difficult for me to make up my mind about pontoons. I guess I just need to look for a bargain on a decent pontoon. I will be fishing alone mostly, but would like to explore the lake which would involve overnight trips with the wife and 2 kids. I might go for a smaller pontoon for starters. I want to be a fishing guide at some point but I guess I will wait and see how it goes before committing to an expensive fishing toon. I will look for a 94 tracker or a 04 regency. The party cruiser may be a little big for fishing alone?
Thanks!

You should be able to find a used 20 footer no problem for a deal, might be in rough shape but you looking for fishing ,not a show boat.

I don't know what kind of guiding your planing on doing, but you should be able to do it from a toon no problem

Depends. Having a slip, it's pretty easy for me to go out by myself on the Bohemia and drop a line or two and some crab traps. With the full kitchen, I can cook and eat my catch right there :tofunny
