Move on down here. I'm from Michigan. If I could do it, so can you. We got room for one more family. its cheaper to live down here than it is up there..... And, we boat all year. Snow?.... I remember, I remember.... I think I do?

Kind regards,

Don't count out Louisiana..... going to get in the high 20's for over night lows this week, but supposed to be back up around 70 by the weekend... Might take the boat out if that happens....

It was 71 degrees in the Mid South at 10:00 p.m. It's dropped 25 degrees, and will be getting colder as the day goes on with overcast and 20 mph winds. We're supposed to be in 20's tonight.

Yesterday may have been the best leaf cruising of the Fall as it was the only day without wind and waves.

I guess tomorrow will be round 3 at blowing leaves if the winds die down somewhat.

We were swimming mid October up here, now it's trending colder. Trying to get a few more trips out now that winterization isn't as involved as the PC was.

Supposed to be 15* here tonight, and snowing here in the mountains right now. No accumulation, ground too warm...for a few weeks anyway.

The winds died down yesterday and temperatures moderated at 59 degrees. The Fall colors were absolutely beautiful on a short run up our slough.

With a full tank of gas and colder temperatures, I was running 42 mph @ 6200 rpms with the 15 pitch Yamaha Reliance prop. Not bad.

I fitted my new canvas seat covers on my seats, and put the mooring cover on the boat. It takes a very strong grip to get those snaps snapped on Bennington's OEM cover.

Any such beautiful day is a good day. I'm just sorry that those living in the far north don't have more good days on the water.

Yep, I know exactly what you mean, Coot! We were in Key West last week for the Ofshore Superboat Championship races, it was 85 when we left for home on Monday and in the 20's when we landed home. Got home and found my boat gone. My neighbor came over and grabbed it with his truck to put it in the storage shed. Which worked out great, because the driveway was seal coated while we were away and the Premmie would have to be moved twice. But still, winter does suck!

Wow! Those tornadoes are ferocious. You're so fortunate.

We had a really big one come through the county south of us 2 1/2 years ago, and essentially wiped out two communities. They're just getting to building the new high schools after having to deal with an insurance company and also state insurance pool. The schools are often about 1/2 insured, and the state covers 1/2 the repairs.

Our church has since built 2 houses and given them away to unfortunate people without insurance.
