Well I finally pulled the trigger. Had speedboats my entire life, most recently a 28' checkmate with 550 horsepower. After mulling it over for a while I decided to get rid of it and get buy this gem. I spent a lot of time on a fiends triton bently last year but wanted something a little faster. Although most of the time we will plan on just cruising slow the lake I spend my weekends on is about 30 miles long so sometimes you need to just get somewhere. Plus I plan on taking up skiing and/or kneeboarding so I wanted something with power. I just picked this one up this week, its a 2013 leftover 25' xplode with a 2014 250etec. I did a lot or research on this site that helped me make the decision on a Manitou. Hopefully I like it! Cant wait to go out the first time, hopefully in the next week or two.

Nice, you will love it compareds to a fiberglass boat. I had a hard time switching myself when I bought my 2012 Southbay. I have a 2014 Crest ordered with a 250 Verado Pro and cant wait for it to get here.

It came with a 3 blade rebel on it but I cant see any markings on it with a pitch. I havent run it yet so not sure how it performs.

My dealer installs vipers. I'm thinking the rebel may give better fuel economy. Just have to wait and do some testing. If you don't mind when you get to run yours please post you numbers. Thanks Roger

If you want to know about e-tec props, Bryan (bryden24shp) is who to talk to.

Thanks. Roger. Looks like we are neighbors. I live on the Santee Cooper lakes, about 2 hours from you.

Great looking toon!!

You'll love the way it handles on the water. The manitou's turn very easily (I've had lots of jaws drop on my lake. People hadn't ever seen a toon do those sorts of maneuvers before!)

Nice boat! Let me know how it runs when you get it wet. I've got a 2011 270 with a 250 VMAX spinning a 14-1/4 18 pitch. I'm curious about the top speeds on some of the smaller, lighter boats (ours is every bit of 28' and loaded is certainly in the 4500# range). I can pull mid 40's with just my wife and I in goo conditions - RPM's top just shy of 5800. I've had 6 plus a load (coolers, gear, etc.) and pushed 40. am thinking I might swap out to a 19p or 20p 4 blade - not sure about size yet. with the way it's set now it comes out of the water like a rocket and is planed in no time.

I went to the Manitou for the same reason - cut my teeth on go fast CC boats for offshore fishing, we had fountains - so I wanted something that moved and handled.
