Trailer Bunk Question

Trailer bunk question; Bentley Tri-toon with lifting strakes, do I need 2"X4" Bunks or are the standard 2"X6" Bunks adequate? My concern is, will the toons rest on the whole bunk area or with the strakes, ride on the edge of the larger bunk?
