I think the heated part is the cause of your issue. Is it humid as well? You cleaned the seats but did you put any protectant on them? I am assuming you didn't have any air circulating under the cover either? I also put a bucket of charcoal under my cover but it sits outside. :donno

I keep mine indoors and covered, not heated. I put a box fan at the front and run 24/7. Never had any problems with mold

Maybe a dumb question, but your covers are breathable, aren't they? If you're using the poly tarps they could be trapping condensation.

Also, since you washed the seats before covering, were the seats dry before covering? As also has been mentioned, you need air circulation under the cover when stored for the winter if heated/humid storage conditions. It doesn't need to be a lot of air movement with the fan -- even a small desk fan can move enough air to prevent mold. But also the bucket of charcoal helps as well.

we always put sealer on the vinyl before putting it asleep for the winter, very little mold.

The previous owners of ours kept it slipped and covered all the time. The underside of the playpen cover is pure black. Stained with mold. We have tried everything to clean it. Took it to the upholstery shop to see if they could clean it, They told us no way, but they did kill the mold with a spray solution of chlorine and vinegar. But its still black from the stain, I was going to replace the cover, but they talked me out of it. Its in great shape, just stained.

Has anyone tried any of the solar powered vents for boat tarps? It seems we are putting our boat away wet more often. The Corp also does not allow extension cords to be plugged into boats.

Here is what I found on ebay.
