The company doing the repairs did say that Bounce Sheets will work.
I know we use Bounce Sheets in my place up north and they seem to keep the mice away.
Won't hurt to use them.
I'm also going to get the boat shrink wrapped next year to seal all round.

Our cover does not work any longer with the top, but I store the boat in a building. I do put a tarp over the entire boat that is not airtight. But I use mothballs and have never had a problem, either with critters or the smell.

This is the one I keep under the back seat of my truck. I took it out to reblue it (it's got a bit of surface rust) and add a laser/flashlight combo.

It's a mid 60s Remington 870 Wingmaster. I wore out the original barrel waterfowl hunting with it, so I converted it to tactical when I bought my latest 870. I also have an 1100 semi auto, and a 20 guage among my growing collection :)

More pics after it's reblued.

First estimate to repair, keeping in mind they have to remove everything from the deck and spray a resin to seal the wood to recarpet and redo the lounges.
They expect it will take 2-3 weeks to complete repairs.
$11,000
$8,000 of that being labour.
I am waiting to hear back from the adjuster on the second estimate.
Also, they did basically say the things the first estinmator said regarding what they would have to do as well as how long they will have the boat to do repairs. So I'm assuming the price will not be too much less if any.

Nice looking shotgun, I also have one waiting for anyone stupid enough to come into my home uninvited!

Wow that really sucks, sure glad the insurance will cover it. Is there a deduttable or will it all be covered.
I sure am glad I came accross your post gives me something to think about and another thing to prepare for.
Dryer sheets huh, sounds good and mothballs too, well they are pretty rank, gotta get a night scope and my remmington whould help, maybe some ATF rounds so they won't do too much damage. Also gonna have to make sure my cant can't get in there.
My friend and neighbor had an unexpected guest in their motor home last winter and had some damage done too people can be just as distructive as animals. :nana
