Hey all. Sorry to bring this thread back again. I'll probably keep updating from time to time as this problem won't go away and getting feedback from you all is helpful.

I was told that they installed a new hub on my trailer (it was nice and shiny with new paint), but it is leaking grease again. They admitted over the phone that they didn't replace the entire hub, and that they put in new seals and bearings, cleaned the hub, and painted it. I have a ticket showing a new hub installation. The explanation as to why it is leaking grease again is that the hub likely got hot and expanded thus not allowing it to seal properly. That doesn't pass the sniff test to me. If it got that hot, wouldn't there have been severe damage to the spindle? I don't have an answer yet regarding the suspension, but it is still heavily compressed. I still feel like this trailer is over loaded, not safe for road travel, and I feel like there is more damage done to the axle if the new seals are having problems. I'm going to wait and see how this plays out, but I'm pretty close to either getting an attorney, buying a new trailer and canceling vacation, or selling it at this point.

Man oh man am I ever glad to not be you or one of the recent others that have had nothing but trouble from their purchase right out of the gate..... Makes me thankful I've had zero to really complain about besides that my boat is proving to be a bit underpowered for my taste.... Sure feel for ya wasting all your time going back in forth to the dealer trying to make them do what is right...

I appreciate that. I'm really burned out. The boat is fantastic. Runs great. We have it set up for just about everything we like to do. I don't want to get rid of it, and I don't want to eat the cost of selling it or buying a new trailer. Just bummed out at this point.

If I were you, I would be calling the manufacturer instead of dealing with the boat dealer.

I tried, but the manufacturer was not comfortable working directly with me because he didn't want to hurt his working relationship with the dealer. He said to go through the dealer and if they stop working with me, then to call him back. I understand where the guy is coming from because that is a big client for him. The good news is that they are working with me still, but it seems like this will be a long drawn out ordeal even though it shouldn't be.

Well, I'm getting a second axle on this trailer. They will be taking it to a guy who works specifically on trailers for the install. Also, they completely changed the specs for all future trailers, so that this doesn't happen again. I guess the also found another boat or two that will need to be altered on the lot. Crazy...I didn't go at this wanting to change the world, but it looks like my persistence paid off. It's not a new trailer, but if the work is done correctly, it should work perfectly!

Hate to throw out (in?) the corny post but.... Sounds like the squeaky wheel gets the grease....

Glad to hear that they are taking care of you by going dual axle; that should work out very nicely if done properly.
