Finally!

August 29th and THE FLOATER hit the water for the first time all year! Due to flood, vacation weather all of it added up. We actually hit 20 with 8 on board. I know I have A LOT of water in the nosecones of both toons. Once I get rid of that I should be happy. It was cloudy and air temp was same as water but we didn't care! We actually got out! We saw a horse at the waters edge right after launching really weird too. My bro was on the boat and he hadn't seen that in 15 years. 26 mile trip lunch at the shore, some tubing for my daughter and friend, jumping off "the rock" next weekend supposed to be in the 90's and full sun! Keeping our fingers crossed! I made the executive decision to leave boat uncovered. We will be back in 5 days, and I think the sun could help try and puff up the seats that were smashed by the ice over winter. I cleaned them good and 303'd em. I hope I don't regret it. :donno

Well the rain and storms missed the lake so no worries now about leaving it uncovered. Should get us out earlier on Saturday having everything ready to go. Hook her up to the hose fire it up just to make sure. Then load her up and go.

Much brighter pics to come from this coming weekend! :nana :drink4

Hey Craig, is that a homemade tow bar?
I'm asking since mine doesn't have one and I'm looking to either make one or eventually buy another boat. I'm thinking if I can make one I can go a few more years with the toon I have..

Glad to se that you got out and about.

We got out for the first time in 2 years last Sunday :nana The surprising bit was that it started right up. No battery jump needed and 2 year old gas. :smoke Before the cold weather hits, I need to burn up the remaining gas (about 26 gallons) and refill her for the winter lay-up.
