Rear Facing Speakers
Want to put rear facing speakers on my 2015 Crest 230 SLE. Need ideas, and pictures would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Rear Facing Speakers
What are they going to be used for and where are you going to mount them?
I don't have them on my toon but had JL's mounted to the wakeboard tower on my Mastercraft (sold the boat as the kids are now adults).
If you want people to hear them clearly while wakeboarding then that is a hole different ball of wax (HLCD with their own amp, Wetsounds or JL, etc.) than using them while at anchor.
EDIT TO ADD (because I hit submit too soon) - if you don't have a tower, here is a good rail mount (Ear Mark out of Dallas/Plano is well known in the wake boat community for top notch design/sales/service):

The price shown is with JL speakers BUT if you don't want to spend the bucks at least the mounts are cool

Re: Rear Facing Speakers
I have seen those Earmarks and love the design, but a little pricey for what I am wanting. I just want to be able to hear music while floating in the water without making it to loud for people on the boat. I was thinking of mounting some speakers to my ski bar some how or other option would be cutting holes into my fencing which makes me nervous.

Re: Rear Facing Speakers
it you just want to hear the music a few feet from the boat with the motor off, you really don't need much. you can take a cheap pair of cans like these
http://www.krypt-towers.com/6-5-bullet- ... aker-cans/
and add just about any cheap speakers to them.

Re: Rear Facing Speakers
JN...Yes, the JL's are expensive.
By the way, I had these on another boat and were pleased with them.

Re: Rear Facing Speakers
This was my solution. I removed the aluminum paneling in that section and built this to take its place. I did this for when we are just chilling on the tubes behind the boat at party cove.

Re: Rear Facing Speakers
My Bentley I had came with speakers just like that facing out on back panel worked great about the only thing Bentley did good
Re: Rear Facing Speakers
What is the point of speakers *facing away* from the boat? I hope you don't use these on lakes where people live.

Lots of people anchor/raft and chill out in the water while at anchor.
Others have massive speaker systems which can be heard while wakeboarding/wake surfing/skiing.

Sorry, I must be getting old. If you are wakeboarding or skiing, are you telling me people can't live without their music while at the end of the rope? I understand sitting at a sandbar, or even pulling some tubes around leisurely, but those massive mounts on the tower so people can hear it while wakeboarding are just rude. If I'm sitting on the shore, I shouldn't hear your music blaring when you are racing by with a skier.

I agree....
I hate cars driving by my house and rattling the windows too.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Re: Rear Facing Speakers
I have a place on a very sedate lake. Lots of folks just don't realize how far a normal speaking voice carries on flat water.
Blasting music? Well those speakers look like targets at that distance!
