Water Spots

#1 Post by C_M_25 » Fri Mar 10, 2017 11:46 am

I have accumulated a nice amount of water spots on my boat. The boat color is black, and I can't get them off with regular soap. Any ideas?

Vinager and water works really good! Especially on the back of outboards where they really get chalky. I mix it 50/50 and soak it on with a sponge, then rinse it with a hose and dry it with a microfiber towel. Super cheap and works.

Its funny because i was just researching a cleaner called Hot sauce by boat bling. The guy at the boat shop sprayed some on my black boat and wiped the area with a towel and boom they were gone. It smelled like vinegar. I was reading on vinegar and water mix and it looks like it could strip the wax off? Having a black boat shows everything, so i was going to try it..

I used CLR on my 2013 mercury. Waxed it and then use boat bling hot sauce after each trip. Once you remove the water spots, the hot sauce makes it very easy to keep it looking brand new. Awesome stuff. Removes any new water spots and has some wax in it.
