Propeller Question

#1 Post by Johnny.Mac » Tue Jun 20, 2017 4:18 pm

I have a 1992 Bass Buggy 18 foot Pontoon Boat. It has a 1987 Johnson 50 HP 2cycle outboard on it. Will someone please provide some guidance on what prop I should put on it? Thanks!

have you run your boat yet, if so what prop do you currently have and what rpm's
if not run yet i would guess something like a 12 or 13 dia. x 10p to start.
although someone smarter than me will be along i'm sure
if it ain't broke-it ain't ours
94 smokercraft 20ft 90hp johnson

If I plugged the correct info into Michigan Wheel's calculator, they suggest either a 11-3/4" or 12-1/2" diameter, 13" pitch, three blade prop. I cannot guarantee these results are good, but I have used them before and am satisfied. You can check here:
