Best new bimini boot?

#1 Post by photonfanatic » Mon Jul 17, 2017 8:35 am

Need to get a new bimini boot because mine has finally succumbed to the sun. But which one? I called the manufacturer, and they want $200 for it. Not happening. So now I'm looking on ebay and such, and it seems you can just buy an aftermarket one. But I want to get a high quality one. Which one would you go with?

200 isn't bad for OEM. I price a new one at an upholstery shop for 450.

Thanks man! I'll probably get that one. I like the made in USA stuff. I'd bet that $60 one is a lot better than their $200 factory one. I wasn't impressed with it, even when it was new. Now its ripped up because of the sun eating it.

Went ahead and bought mine from northstar products as per the link. They also have what looks to be an excellent replacement boat cover, for a mere $275. Vs the $1500 factory one. Its also better than the factory one in the way that it covers the fence, and the factory one just leaves it exposed to the sun. So I'll probably be buying that when my factory cover eventually dies.
