Cracked cavitation plate

#1 Post by danjkelly » Tue May 08, 2018 7:41 pm

backed my pontoon and hit bridge support.
I knocked off a two inch corner. Do I need to replace the lower drive? Can I leave it broke? Will a Hydrofoil fit this?
Can't download pic, but take two inches off corner and thats my cavitation plate?
First time out.... first pontoon boat....added stresser
Your opinion Please

What motor is it? If its not a high performance set up, and no other damage is noticed (broken seal leaking gear lube) I wouldn't worry about. Would like to see a pic if you can get it to work, though...

Both of our corners are messed up, but with a 90hp on and older low riding toon, 20 mph is fine so it wouldnt help ours at all
