#1 Post by bansil » Mon Jul 02, 2018 9:19 am

So some time during the last 28 years, the factory placard is missing that had weight and capacity displayed

Any ideas where to get one?

Can not go factory they were last sold in 2000 and company changed name

I won't be at the lake for a couple weeks though. I'll see if I got it in the background of another pic.

Nice to have one but not a requirement for boats over 20 feet in length. And it is not against federal law to exceed the horsepower rating on the label. It may be against your state law though. And insurance companies may deny a claim if the rating is exceeded.

It is required here apparently, a couple new obscure laws, added to cover pontoon boats

TN, it is not stated as"you must have...x...y...z.."

It is a glancing mention of twra being able to read capacity and occupancy of boat...it is NOT a CG requirement due to length

We dont technically have laws like auto covered by t.c.a. (tn code annotated) it is this is "reckless""neglegent" or "dangerous"

So they have been adding vague shit to encompass pontoons which dont fit in regular regs.
