Mercury Black Max XC?

#1 Post by boocat » Mon Sep 17, 2018 12:08 pm

I'm ready for a fresh prop (put a ding in mine) I seeing something I'm not familiar with. The Black Max XC series. Yeah, I know 'extra cupping" I have an 18' Bass Buggy, 60ct. runs about 22 at 5700. No blow outs or slipping. What if anything would the XC do for me in the same size? Not looking for a cure for anything just wondering.

It would be interesting to try, but I am guessing the cupping might lower your WOT rpm a bit. It may run faster if slip is reduced. What is your current prop and outboard?

2017 merc 60ct with the standard black max 14x11. No current issues with the prop.
