Great Weekend

#1 Post by FLOUNDERPOUNDER225 » Sun Nov 18, 2018 7:29 am

Well after a week of rain and cold, the weekend is looking very good with sun and mid 60s. The Gulf was smooth as a pond and the island was pretty much deserted so the dogs could really romp and play, and the dolphin’s were enjoying it also.

Excellent way to spend some time!! The dogs must have loved it.
And, good job on catching the dolphins in action.

Great pics.
Ain't it great that we live where we can boat all year round !!
Know it gets cooler in the panhandle as lived around Carrabelle for bit but still beats the latitudes further north.
Life is too short to be inside looking at snow and cold when you could be chasing dolphins and drinking a cool one....

Yes, I'm from Ft. Pierce but traveled the world in the Navy, when we got stationed here back in 96 and I saw this pure white sugar sand and emerald clear water, my wife and I knew where we wanted to retire. Pensacola is a hidden diamond on the gulf coast, living is relatively cheap compared to our tourist attraction neighbors to the East and West, and we have the same beaches and water, and the military support of the commissary and Naval hospital. But yes; it does get damn cold up here on occasion through the winter, teens and low 30's and even a little snow flurry occasionally, but they only last for a few days. :))

Looks awesome, great pic of the dolphins coming out of the water.
I am the guy at the boat ramp that gives you dirty looks when you are a complete idiot and too stupid to know it.

I totally agree with both of you. It's nice to have the possibility of a ride in the winter, but DAMN that wind is coooold in your face!

The problem I have is the water around Navarre's shoreline is very shallow - to the point that when it's Winter low tide, it is sometimes little more than shin deep!
