Yes, I'm from Ft. Pierce but traveled the world in the Navy, when we got stationed here back in 96 and I saw this pure white sugar sand and emerald clear water, my wife and I knew where we wanted to retire. Pensacola is a hidden diamond on the gulf coast, living is relatively cheap compared to our tourist attraction neighbors to the East and West, and we have the same beaches and water, and the military support of the commissary and Naval hospital. Know it gets cooler in the panhandle as lived around Carrabelle for bit but still beats the latitudes further north.
Life is too short to be inside looking at snow and cold when you could be chasing dolphins and drinking a cool one....
